Apparat bestand aus zwei identischen Spulen-Systemen in einer µ-Metall-Box (Dicke von 1,3 mm, 25 x 25 x 25 cm3); Boxen wurden nebeneinander in einen Inkubator gelegt; jede der beiden Spulen-Systeme bestand aus vier rechteckigen "Unter-Spulen" (Seitenlänge von 20 cm), die symmetrisch um das Spulenzentrum herum angeordnet waren; paarige Drähte bildeten die Spulen, welche parallel für die Exposition und anti-parallel für die Schein-Exposition verbunden waren; zur Belüftung waren zwei Ventilatoren auf jeder Box befestigt; Inhomogenität des Magnetfelds war <4%
