The association between mobile phone use and the anatomical distribution of cerebral gliomas was investigated in Irish patients.

50 patients were regular mobile phone users and 23 non-users.
No association between handedness of the patients and the side of the tumour was observed. Also, no association between the use, the non use and the location of the tumour (frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital) was found . No increasing trend of glioma incidence could be observed in the period 1994 - 2001 based on the data of the National Cancer Registry of Ireland.
