Man-made intermediate frequency fields

Due to innovations and enhanced applications of power electronics the intermediate frequency range is of increasing importance on human exposure in everyday life. Typical exposure sources are induction hobs, electronic article surveillance systems, and near-field communication devices or wireless charging or converter systems, such as used in electric vehicles. Additionally, there are many different applications in medicine (e.g. MRI, nerve stimulators, electrosurgical devices) or in industry (e.g. inductive heating devices).
