Medical engineering. Missed sensing of cardiac electrical signals by a cardiac pacemaker, resulting in too frequent or irregular delivery of stimuli. These stimuli are not required and can lead to ventricular fibrillation. Undersensing can be caused for example by lead failure or medications.
