Medical engineering. Sensing of electrical signals, which normally should not be sensed by the pacemaker, but result in inappropriate inhibition of the pacemaker's output. Oversensing may be caused by myopotentials, T waves, and P waves or by external devices such as mobile phones or electrical razors.
Opposed to undersensing.
