Medical engineering. In VVIR mode the right ventricle is the location of sensing and pacing. The mode is inhibited, i.e., the pacemaker withholds the ventricular output in the presence of a sensed ventricular event. The stimulation frequency can be adapted to the physical activity (rate responsive).
