Medical engineering. The electrode of the cardiac pacemaker is placed in the right atrium which is the location of sensing and pacing. The mode is inhibited, i.e., the pacemaker withholds the atrial output in the presence of a sensed atrial event. The stimulation frequency can be adapted to the physical activity (rate responsive).
