Main outcome of study (acc. to author)

The results indicate that a S-band microwave of moderate intensity has an effect on the chromosomes of the cells investigated. Comparing the two cell lines, it appears that the extent of the chromosomal damage due to radiation to the human cells is somewhat less severe than that to the animal cells. It also appears that the effect is non-thermal in its nature.
