The effects of exposure of rats to a 50 Hz magnetic field on the cardiovascular system should be investigated.
Male rats were divided into an exposure group (n=24) and a sham exposure group (n=24). Blood pressure and heart rate were measured every 4 weeks, alle other parameters were measured once after exposure.

There were no significant differences between the exposure group and the sham exposure group in any parameter.
The authors conclude that no effects of exposure of rats to a 50 Hz magnetic field on the cardiovascular system were found.
