Study type: Medical/biological study (review/survey)

Direct observation of microcirculatory parameters in rat brain after local exposure to radio-frequency electromagnetic field med./bio.

Published in: Environmentalist 2009; 29 (2): 186-189

Aim of study (acc. to author)

The report reviews recent publications of the authors (Masuda et al. 2007a and Masuda et al. 2007b) that investigated the effect of acute or subchronic exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields on the cerebral microcirculation in rats using the monopole antenna that enabled local exposure to the brain. The report also shows the experimental details.

Background/further details

A "closed cranial window" was implanted into the parietal region.
