The efficacy of Flavobacteriumspeciesexposed to static magnetic field in treatment of the effluent is tested for its ability for bioremediation of lignin rich effluents from paper and pulp mills.
120 flasks were placed in the center of the disc shaped enclosure made by the coil system.
Additional info
The coil system consisted of 2 pairs circular coils. The inner pair had a larger diameter and the outer pair had a smaller diameter. Both pairs were mounted co-planar and co-axially which provided a disc shaped volume with highly uniform magnetic field. The coils were kept with their axis vertical so that the axis of the magnetic field passed the test objects vertically. Controls were performed but no details regarding its setup are provided in the article.
