DECT is a communications standard for cordless telephones and wireless data transmission which uses frequencies around 1.9 GHz. DECT has primarily been developed for communication among a few participants within a building and characterizes itself through a range of 30 - 50 m. This communication standard is accepted in over 100 countries all around the world.
