Floor heating

Belongs to:
Heating systems
Synonyms:
Heated floor, Underfloor heating
Description:

The floor heating is a panel heating and is installed beneath the flooring. Thereby the whole floor is heated and there is no use for another heater in the room. A floor heating is commonly based on warm water which is spread through a pipe system under the floor. Nowadays there are some electric floor heaters that can be laid in pads.

Frequency ranges:
  • 50–60 Hz
Type of field:
electric and magnetic

Measurements (acc. to literature)

electric floor heating
Measurand Value Feature Remarks
magnetic flux density ≤ 3 µT (measured) - at a distance of 0.3 m [1]
magnetic flux density 0.1–8 µT (maximum) - at a distance of 30 cm [2]
magnetic flux density 0.5–0.7 µT (measured) - at a height of 1 m above ground [3]
magnetic flux density 1–6 µT (mean, measured) - measured on a bed [4]
magnetic flux density ≤ 1.25 µT (measured) - at floor level [3]
