The study presents investigation results of the bioelectric activity of animal brain influenced by microwaves or introduction of strychnine (as pharmacological mean), causing different functional states of the organism with the aim to analyse the animals electrocorticograms (analogous to human EEG) by the spectral correlation method and method of nonlinear dynamics. The spectral correlation and periodic methods of analysis are most widely used to determine the bioelectrical brain activity.

It has been found that the nonlinear dynamics method may be used to analyze the electrocorticogram of experimental animal in different states being confirmed by increasing parameter of the correlation dimensionality in electrocorticograms of rat irradiated by microwaves or subjected to the introduction of strychnine.
