Aim of study (acc. to author)

The report summarises the data of a study of the development of some motor and psychological functions of children who were born and constantly live under conditions of chronic electromagnetic field exposure in the Skrunda area. The Skrunda radio station is a pulse radar station and has operated for more than 25 years in a populated region of Skrunda, Latvia.

Main outcome of study (acc. to author)

Motor function, memory and attention significantly differed between the exposed and control groups. Children living in front of the station had less developed memory and attention. Their reaction time was slower and their neuromuscular apparatus endurance was decreased.
